Motivation View
The motivation view of HappinessPal is all about what motivates you. Here you can manage your goals, create visionboards and jot down affirmations - the three ingredients that keep you moving towards the life you want.
Goals
Define your goals
In this section of the view, you can manage your goals, both those you currently would like to pursue and those you wish to pursue in the future.
Your goals are organized into three separate lists, so that the things you are working on right now never get buried under everything else:
- Open goals are the goals you are actively pursuing. Every entry has a circle on the right-hand side - tap it as soon as you have reached your goal and it moves over to the achieved goals.
- Unpursued goals are ideas and ambitions you do not want to lose, but that are not on your plate at the moment. Park them here and pick them up whenever the time is right.
- Achieved goals collect everything you have already accomplished. They stay visible on purpose: a look at this list is one of the easiest ways to remind yourself how far you have already come.
Tapping a goal opens its detail page, where you can review and refine it. The pencil icon next to a list headline lets you edit that list, and the + button in the top right corner adds a new goal.
In the screenshot above, Publish app in Google Play is currently being pursued, Implement new AI app is waiting for its turn, and Publish App in Apple App Store has already been ticked off.

Visionboards
Visualize your dreams
This section of the view lets you create one or multiple visionboard(s). The visualizations added here can be used in your daily visualization practice.
Each visionboard carries its own title and holds the images that represent one particular dream or area of your life. The screenshot shows three of them: Next holiday with impressions of the trip that is being saved up for, Be fit with the body and the workouts to aim for, and App success with app store badges, a mocked-up press article and a five star rating.
That mixture is intentional - a visionboard works best when it is concrete. Photos of places, screenshots, product shots, a fake headline announcing the news you would love to read one day: anything that makes the goal feel real and worth working for belongs on the board.
Tap an image to view it, use the pencil icon next to a board’s title to modify the board, and the + button to create an additional one. As soon as your boards are in place, they become the material for your daily visualization practice, where HappinessPal walks you through your images one by one.

Affirmations
Convince yourself
Within this section you can add your favourite affirmations. These can be utilized in your daily affirmation practice.
All of your affirmations live in one single list. Longer sentences are shortened in the overview, so tapping an entry opens the full text - which means an affirmation may be as long and as personal as you like.
Affirmations tend to work best when they are written in the first person, in the present tense and in positive words, for example “I am capable of achieving my goals and becoming the best version of myself” or “I am in control of my actions and choices”. Some of your affirmations will be general encouragement, others will address a very specific challenge you are facing right now - both have their place here.
Use the pencil icon to edit your collection and the + button to add a new affirmation. During your daily affirmation practice, HappinessPal presents the entries of this list to you, one after the other.
